Antakya
The primary reason to come to Antakya is to see the Roman/Byzantine mosaics in the Antakya Archeological Museum. It was worth the trip...




Antakya was once known as Antioch and is believed to be the site of the very first Christian cathedral (St. Peter's church) in a cave just outside of town. Antioch was also the place where Christians first started calling themselves by that name. Here are a couple photos from the cave church.
