More Truk

The diving here continues to amaze me. Sadly the best stuff has been difficult to photograph well but I'm trying...

Truk. Also a Truck.

So far I've been completely blown away by the diving at Truk. I've never been that into wreck diving, but this is something else.

Some of these pictures (for example, the first shot taken off the bow of the Gosei Maru) are more heavily processed than I prefer but I think it's worth it to be able to show some of the bigger stuff. Expect more of this kind of thing while I'm here.

I won't be carrying my camera on every dive since I'm going to be doing quite a bit of deeper diving and I'm not taking a chance on carrying the camera too deep after the Pulau Weh incident. I did carry the case down to 52 meters (sans camera) today to check for leaks though so I should be good to that depth at least.

Here Be Mantas

On to the last Komodo post...

And, finally we get to the main event...

I'm in Kuala Lumpur now and the camera issue should be resolved tomorrow. Then I'm off to the next dive destination, which I don't think I've mentioned yet. I've been meaning to dive Truk Lagoon for a long time now and so that's where I'm headed next. I hadn't originally planned for it this trip but figured while I'm headed to Yap I might as well go a little further and hit Truk as well since the're both in the same general area (sort of).

Hopefully normal blogging will resume shortly. I don't know how many pictures I'll have to post since it's going to be mostly wrecks for the next couple weeks. I should be able to come up with something though.

Don't You Hate It When The Sand Has Teeth

I've been back in Labuan Bajo for four days or so but have been very lazy about getting the next batch of pictures posted. Here they are though (finally)...

I've spent the last few days here diving on day trips. This is the first time I've been to Komodo any way other than on a liveaboard and, while I'd rather be living on a boat, the diving has still been spectacular. I've seen Mantas and Mantis Shrimps every day so no complaints. On Sunday I head back to dengueland Bali for 5 or 6 days of diving there before I leave Indonesia. I'm still not sure exactly where in Bali I'll be diving yet - most likely Tulamben and Menjangan Island.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures (I'm particularly happy with the last one from Castle Rock). Look for one more Komodo post in a few days.
